So my daughter is quite the funny one in our family. Actually all of my kids have kept me laughing. But here are my eggs as I went to make Banana nut bread. I was laughing pretty hard so I took pictures before I used them.
then when I went to make french toast the next morning I opened a new carton and found these eggs. I tell you what there is never a dull moment in our house. She is pretty clever and very funny. Thanks for the good chuckle Britt!! Life would be boring without you!
I decided to make my girls Valentines this year so I made them some chocolate kiss roses and then made a flower arrangement out of them. My hat goes off to those who do this for a living, I mean I could not do this as a job everyday I do not have that kind of patience. Either way I got them done and the girls loved them. Happy Valentines Day!!!!

These are some more roses I made for Valentines and for the Drill girls that we gave to them before they went to State Drill Competition. I also made some extras and Brittany and Tianna sold some at the boys basketball game as one of her drill fundraisers for State. The little girls loved them and kept coming back for more.
We found these big flowers up North at a Michaels store and Brittany and Tianna had to have them for hair barretts. We brought them home and they dis-assembled the flower and made these for their hair. They are pretty big but once they put them in their hair they looked beautiful. Good job girls!!
Well it is Feb. now and Brittany gets to go to State Drill competition. They hold it at UVU (Utah Valley University) in Provo. It is a lot of fun to go and watch her perform and she really loves dancing. It was a whole family event. Darta and Litha, Tasha and Logan, Tia, Jeremy, Tanner and Loren all came to watch Brittany dance. It was so good to have everyone support her and it was extra nice to get to see the whole family together again. Although they did not place everyone had a great time. I love getting out of the house to support my children when they have events like this besides who dosen't love traveling every now and again? My special Thanks to Tasha and Logan and Darta and Litha for taking time out of their busy schedules to come see her dance it was fun!! Our camera was not working real well but we managed to get a couple of pictures of her dancing.
Tia was trying to get away from Darta which only made him try harder.
Which only made him try harder for Tia to like him.

This is called taking a much needed break. It was cold in January and we went to warmer climates. We headed to St. George for a long weekend. It was a little chilly but much better than the 30 degrees that it was back home.
We took the kids bowling and they had a really good time. We played three games and it didn't matter how good or bad we did. It was very refreshing. We got done playing and the kids were getting hungry so we left to go check out our options of places to eat.
We found this pirates pizza place to eat at and the kids were excited. We were looking over the menu and found the Kraken. The picture does not do it justice. That is Loren's hand in front of it. The kids thought that they were really hungry so we ordered it. Of course we were not able to finish it, but it made for good hotel warm up left overs for the kids later. The place had some cool decorations. There was a ship that was shooting canonballs every so often and a light show to go with it. It was a very clever set up for kids.
We got back to our hotel and of course all the kids wanted to do was swim. The pool was heated which was good cause it was chilly. Loren and I were watching them swim with our jackets on. Not quite summer yet but like I said earlier it was warmer than home. We went out to the movies later and had a great time. It was a nice break and I enjoyed the time with my family!!
Tanner's Birthday!!!! Yeah the big 10, wow how time flies. His birthday is right close to Christmas so it is extra exciting to him cause he gets Christmas gifts days apart from his Birthday. I mean as a kid who dosen't love gifts? Well this kid certainly does!

He loves Star Wars stuff and Legos so we were able to accomidate for both. He enjoyed his day and was already telling us more stuff that he wanted for Christmas. Just like a little boy wanting more and more. As long as he slows his growing up down just a little so I can enjoy this stage. I blink and life seems to fly by. Better enjoy it while it is here!! Happy Birthday Tanner enjoy your youth!!
Brittany LOVES drill!! She gets excited to go out and perform and when she dances she is very good at it. We love watching her dance she is a really good dancer.

The routine went really well. It was fun to watch it. She didn't love this dance but she could have fooled us she danced it as if she loved it just like all her other routines.
We pulled off Tia's B-day party with much success only to move onto a soon to be proposal. Logan Willams and Natasha met on Logan's mission which was in San Juan County. Tisk Tisk!! Their eyes met at our front door and they never turned back. Logan wanted to pull off the perfect proposal, so with some help from his soon to be father in law Loren carved the words for Logan in a quakie tree. Logan took her up to the mountains and executed the perfect setting.

Of course Tasha said yes, so off to the engagement pictures they went. They had there idea of what they wanted to do and made it so. They came home Halloween weekend and it was a busy weekend. They did the proposal, engagement pictures, and our halloween party all in one weekend but it all went very well.

They are very cute together and you can tell they are in love. They had a theme to their engagement pictures of a normal casual setting and then a fifty's setting. All of the pictures turned out so cute it is hard to pick out just one or two of them.

This pumpkin was Gomes's piece of work. What a great artist he is!!

We were able to get together with family and friends and throw a great Halloween party. Dartagnan Gomes was Logan's companion on their mission. He finished his mission before Logan and returned home to Brazil. With in a few short weeks he came back to Provo which we were all very excited about. Since their mission before Logan & Tasha's love story began I always treated them as if they were my sons. I still think of them that way to this day!! Darta was able to come home with Tasha and we had a really great weekend together with everyone. October was a busy month but a fun one indeed!!

So after we sent Tasha to college amazingly life still went on. Tianna had her 13th Birthday. She was SO excited to be able to have a party. I have not done as many parties for my kids as I had hoped to do. I try to let them have a party every other year but life does not always allow this to happen. Either way, we invited her friends over and the craziness began.

The girls made their own candy necklaces, but in all honesty I think they ate most of the candy before it actually made a necklace!! The sugar was induced and the present opening started. We made her friends do "heavy, heavy hangover" her poor head. The girls were a little shy at first but then they warmed up to it very quickly.

After the gifts were opened I filled the girls with more sugar and took them home. I am sure their mother's loved me for that!! I believe the entire party was a success. Tia certainly looks happy and she enjoyed all her gifts and her friends that were able to make it to the party.
Later that night we were able to give her our gifts. She wanted a speaker system for her Ipod SO bad so we got her one along with some gift cards and a few other things. Now my biggest challenge is handeling 3 teenagers, Yikes!! Wish me luck. Happy Birthday Tia I hope you enjoyed your day and we Love You Tons!!
